Description
I took this Yaquina Head Lighthouse window and iron spiral staircase fine art photograph while visiting friends in Oregon. Soon as I saw this shot I new it had warmth and a mood that was very special. This photograph would make a beautiful gift for the home or office.
Yaquina Head Light Station was built in 1872 and operated by the U.S. Lighthouse Board, afterward called the U.S. Lighthouse Service. The Lighthouse Service was abolished in 1939, at which time the U.S. Coast Guard took over operations.
Jerry Cowart - My journey with photography is an ongoing and ever-evolving process. I am challenged to slow down each and every day in this busy world and to stop and admire all the beauty by which I am surrounded. What I have discovered is to enjoy the moment, to love the sound of the shutter as it goes off and be lost in the joy of that one perfect moment and be able to capture it in my camera. For that one magic moment, and in the blink of an eye it will be gone, I see the perfection and beauty in a world that is not always kind and loving as I would want it to be. My photography is about seeing and experiencing the beauty all around me and hoping it will move the viewer in a way they feel what I felt in that moment, in that once in a lifetime moment that has now been caught in the beauty of a print for all to see.
It is my intention through my original fine art photography to share the beauty and perfection I see with those that view my work. I hope you enjoy my work and thank you for taking the time to view it. I invite you to look through my varied galleries of photographic prints and hope you enjoy them as much as I did when I was moved to take these photographs.
I hope you find just the right photograph as you look through my work that would make a perfect gift for a home or office. All my photo prints, note cards, posters and cell phone covers are priced to be competitive and make wonderful personal gifts for all occasions.
