I went to Malibu Beach California to take some seascape shots. It was to be an adventure not knowing what I really wanted to shoot.

The waves were a beautiful turquoise against a brilliant blue sky on this day. I walked in the sand under the wooden Malibu Pier and saw the reflection of the pier on the wet sand. The two big pilings made a great frame to capture the dramatic side angel and the end of the pier with the rolling waves in the foreground.

FYI: Malibu Pier is a Southern California icon in an area once called the Riviera of America. The historic landmark is located in the heart of California's surf culture. Surfers from around the world come to Surfrider Beach adjacent to Malibu Pier, known for its three-point break that offers rides of 300 yards or more. The festive seaside atmosphere of good food and fun is returning to the famous pier. New restaurants offering classic seaside dishes complement the pier's beautiful coastal location and rich history.
