I took this photo of this Charro and his beautiful horse at the Chatsworth Christmas Parade in California.
The Charro of Mexico is a romantic testament to chivalry, tradition, and pride. These Mexican cowboys are highly skilled horse riders, tamers, and herders; the Mexican equivalent of the iconic cowboy of the American West. But they are so much more than the gun-slinging broncos immortalized by Hollywood.

What I have discovered is to enjoy the moment, to love the sound of the shutter as it goes off and be lost in the joy of that one perfect moment, and be able to capture it in my camera. For that one magic moment, and in the blink of an eye it will be gone, I see the perfection and beauty in a world that is not always kind and loving as I would want it to be.
My photography is about seeing and experiencing the beauty all around me and hoping it will move the viewer in a way they feel what I felt in that moment, in that once-in-a-lifetime moment that has now been caught in the beauty of a print for all to see.
It is my intention through my original fine art photography to share the beauty and perfection I see with those that view my work.
