Title: American White Pelican
I took this photo of the American White Pelican at the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve in California. There were over a 100 pelicans swimming near the seashore, the blue water was perfect to offset the white feathers of this pelican and lots of wildlife on the shore.
The American White Pelican is one of the largest birds in North America. It winters along the coasts, but breeds only inland.
Taken with Canon Mark II with a Canon 70-300 lens.
