I took this photo at The Huntington Beach City Pier in California. Popularly known as "Surf City," Huntington Beach is home to the world famous municipal pier, and is a west coast surf mecca for more than 8 million annual visitors. Huntington Beach Pier was first built in 1904 and is said to be 1853 feet long, and was rebuilt in its current rendition with re-enforced concrete pilings. Ruby�s cafe is at the end of the pier, great hamburgers and fries. Surfers, surfboards, big waves, sunny days make up "Surf City USA.

Jerry Cowart - My journey with photography is an ongoing and ever-evolving process. I am challenged to slow down each and every day in this busy world and to stop and admire all the beauty by which I am surrounded. What I have discovered is to enjoy the moment, to love the sound of the shutter as it goes off and be lost in the joy of that one perfect moment and be able to capture it in my camera. For that one magic moment, and in the blink of an eye it will be gone, I see the perfection and beauty in a world that is not always kind and loving as I would want it to be. My photography is about seeing and experiencing the beauty all around me and hoping it will move the viewer in a way they feel what I felt in that moment, in that once in a lifetime moment that has now been caught in the beauty of a print for all to see.

It is my intention through my original fine art photography to share the beauty and perfection I see with those that view my work.
